If you are brand new here, let me began by introducing my wee self, I am someone who loves to curate, read a lot and share. That last bit is important.
If you are new here, let me began by asking you to go through my previous Newsletters, to know this space. To know me, you will need to wait more, loiter around a while will ya?
As you might be wondering why do I even read what Shalini has to say here's the reason why: I give zero fucks and I say as it is. With humour which could kill the mood at times and with self sabotage of a brutal kind? HERE I COMEE
I have spent approximately two seconds in deciding whether my habit of putting extra alphabets after every sentenceee which I need to put emphasis on is the reason why I deplore my writing. I constantly fidget that if I need extra exclamation marks and not enough words to express how I am feeling to others, than I don’t know how to write. The way I want to at least. without wasting words, alphabets or commas and apostrophes.
The fact that i have decided to talk about how the "spell checker" or the input type="text" name="fname" spellcheck="true" value="jsdghf goes wrong and I see that red underline, everytime I overuse my spellings and excitement is a reflection of the fact that all reading and no writing makes no sense in totality.
Totality is my 2020 word of the year( I set myself apart this is how!!) *Notice the exclamations in abundance*
I also went, Googled and made a list, subscribed to some of the many newsletters I encountered, read them all, 50% I unsubscribed(Which is what You can do too) and from the remaining, I really loved some, most of which are in the link.
One of these days I am going to form lists of all the historical facts on Substack and newsletters, exploring other mediums which I haven’t yet.
This NEWSLETTER is a good way to disclaim neurosis and the underwhelming feeling of accomplishing nothing. A really good read about the explosion of emails and communication.
I have nothing against the red underlines but I Do imagine the horror I felt when in the fourth grade my teacher showed me how simply stupid I was.
These days, I write the titles first, the content second and set the mood right with using two things in my life to sustain my wild inculcations:————
SWIGGY & Over usage of words, alphabets……….
WHAT I WATCHED
I watched something over the last week, after which it took me three more re runs of the same show to be able to emote the right mood of the production- nutti- Attention or whatever!
DAVE is complex, smart but not street smart. And he is privileged. That can come to bite the ass. Certainly in the game of the harbingers of the black culture, a motion they identify with, a theme which represents demographically the most liked music type- RAP dap dap dap
I love Shloka, an indian raper whom I relished in Hustle, a show in 2019 by MTV and I can’t wait to talk about rap, featuring words, videos and his story in flesh- DAVE, an entourage of High Maintenance + All the right shizz mixture. Grandeur and rapture are the words with which I would like to escrine this show on hOTSTAR.
Not going to do much home work and belting out some recs, further.
