I had a very fun week considering what’s happening and it’s definitely maddening. The cold Infinitum of a Navratna oil, bathed onto wet damp hair makes me throw up on a good summer’s day….if I accidentally look at the news or think about prospects…The world has stopped making sense in as much as the fact that beer shops have stopped cooling the beer before handing them down to the customers, knowing that the customer is going to walk back to his house and cool it down before having it. But, they don’t know that some customers drink straight out of the can, like a Grzaniec, also known as Grzane Piwo (hot beer) which is exactly that. I don’t mind a hot beer these days you know, I have doubled down on my desires and aspirations regarding the materialistic and the material. The hot, the cold.

I went for a brisk evening movie stroll in PVR Saket after the lockdown was announced. I was surprised as the scene played out after me was solemn and like stills from a post apocalyptic world where the protagonist just wants tlo have some fun in a dull, COVID-19 infested minds, bodies and dreams. Yes, I am sure death is the main theme of dreams these days. I cruised through a Thursday of slow traffic and terrific timing of no red lights, didn’t feel like Delhi at all. I loved the mall, void after void of mannequins with no onlookers, closed shops which heartbreakingly displayed COVID-19 precautions and guidelines. Some were court ordered shut. Some faces were in a void, voidless.

I was one of them.

A pianist played the new shiny piano, the beautiful wood shining and there was an audience. of the people working, waiting, as some remarked since morn for a customer to barge in without window shopping. But alas, the executive, show boy and managers hovered around, with few customers like us in sight, who were just trying to enjoy the pianist, while walking towards the IMAX. After one whole year of COVID-19 whoring.

Many of the worries sex workers have look a lot like the anxieties of the rest of the country.

And with the six feet rule which programs a person to engage in virtual sex or masturbation(stats will show!!) it also makes up for the fact, as bizzare as ig may seem, everyone is as unemployed or looking to cash out/cop out as a whore in a COVID-19 infested world.

It was the first day of second wave

If COVID-19🦠😷 was a whore, it would awww right and left looking at the despondency it has caused in every nook and corner.

It would wear crowns and jewels and talk like a pauper Queen

It would take your money right at the beginning, your hopes getting throttled by a blow job where the whore doesn't swallow or spit

And you are left hanging

If COVID-19 was a whore, it would steal your husband, your kids, your family

It would surely wear a red lipstick

If COVID-19 was a whore, we all would be customers with Madonna-whore complex ,which is the inability to maintain sexual arousal within a committed, loving relationship.

If COVID-19 was a whore, it would come cheap. Like a pint of beer for a blow job. Or a quickie in the shed or the bathroom.

And then herpes or worse, AIDS for life.

If COVID-19 was a whore, she would be the talk of the town. Nobody would raise an eye brow at her slut shaming.

My father always told me, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going… humans are the toughest… it's not even about you and me, these testing times are about humanity.

To become as humane as possible is to become invincible. Goodness and kindness stays. What lingers are the hesitations in doing and not doing good. So, do good. Be good. Become good. For now, it is time. It's a perfect time to be good.
